Will There Be Another IKEA Store in Subic?
It seems that all systems go as the IKEA team recently met with representatives of SBMA and SBITC

It’s no secret that we’re all excited about the opening of IKEA in the Philippines. Aside from bringing some of the Swedish brand’s well-loved pieces within arm’s reach, this can only mean positive news for our economy. The buzz around IKEA PH has quieted down these past few months given the news that it will take around four to six years before it officially opens. Fans of the brand and homeowners eager to revamp their spaces can take comfort in the news snippet that it will open within the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay city—a location that’s quite accessible compared to earlier reports that the famous blue and yellow building will be built in Laguna.
Just recently, an update about IKEA PH popped on our social media feed. The Subic Bay Community Center Facebook page posted a couple of photos showing the IKEA team meeting with representatives of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and Subic Bay International Terminal Corporation. The said meeting was held to discuss the “use of the ports of Subic for logistic needs.” See the complete post below:
The best part about this update? The possibility of opening another IKEA store at the Freeport Zone. We’ll just have to wait and see if these plans will push through. While waiting for more IKEA PH news, you may want to revisit some of these IKEA-related stories:
