They may live in posh palaces, but even Royals buy the efficient and simple furniture pieces of IKEA.

According to this article from The Times, when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited ArkDes (Sweden’s national center for architecture in design) last January 30, the royal couple admitted to Marcus Engman, IKEA’s head of design, that they had IKEA furniture at home for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

That’s not surprising, as IKEA products are designed to be useful (and affordable) for everyone—young or old, commoner or Royal.

The Duke and Duchess toured the rest of the center’s exhibits, with both Prince William and Kate gamely testing the furniture pieces made by young Swedish designers.

During their visit to Stockholm, the Royal Couple also attended a black tie dinner with the British Ambassador and the members of the Swedish Royal Family, as part of their Nordic royal tour.
