Is there anything actress and artist Solenn Heussaff can’t do? Aside from mounting exhibits showcasing her art and being active on TV, she has also worked on her new home and collaborated with different brands. To cap off a fulfilling year, Solenn has teamed up with Studio Soliven, a company that creates custom-made art prints and carpets, to launch Solenn X Studio Soliven, a special project that involves beautiful and unique carpets for the home.

“I’ve always been a fan of interiors and I’m a frustrated interior designer myself. When I met Marco (Soliven) of Studio Soliven, I thought it would be a fun way of sharing my art,” she shares in an interview with Realliving.com.ph. Know more about Solenn X Studio Soliven below:

The collaboration has three different categories: Solenn Home, Solenn Designs, and Kids Take HeART.

Solenn Home features designs that are produced in different colorways, but only three carpets are made per design, making the buyer’s carpet a unique one,” says the artist.

On the other hand, Solenn Designs are one-of-a-kind rugs that are produced only one at a time, assuring the buyer that no one else owns the same rug.

“The thing is, the carpets, we make them as we go since it’s a one-of-a-kind thing and it’s one piece per design. We can’t just produce all my designs and we only order them when someone orders the carpet,” Solenn explains.

Looking for a fun and more personalized way to create your carpet? Kids Take HeART doesn't just give you a special carpet in the end, you also get to help kids in need.

“Kids Take HeART is a collab between myself and the buyer’s child. I have a one-on-one art sesh (that lasts for an hour) with the child, and from there, I pick what’s interesting in the child’s painting. With Studio Soliven, we create a design or pattern based on that said artwork and tweak the colors to match the family’s home interior. 20 percent of the fee will be donated to the Kalipay Negrense Foundation,” shares Solenn. Kalipay Negrense Foundation is a non-profit foundation that supports disadvantaged children.

Whatever you choose, you’re assured of a quality carpet handmade by artisans that can add pizzazz to your home. Each carpet is made of quality materials like New Zealand wool, bamboo, and jute, to name a few.

Some of Solenn’s designs are lovely, calming, and inspired by the beauty of nature. “I get inspiration mostly from plants and nature. I have this obsession with nature and how beautiful simple things are. We are so caught up in the world of technology and curation that we tend to forget that the most beautiful things in life are the simple things around us that were given to us,” she muses.

These carpets are made-to-order and the size can be customized according to the client’s needs—making the final piece unique and special. What's next for Solenn? "I've always dreamed of a tableware line, with painted plates and runners. But one at a time," she quips.
