Ayala Land's Festival of Lights in Makati has become a Christmas tradition since it launched 13 years ago. In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, the display transformed into an online visual spectacle to allow everyone to participate while staying safe indoors. This year, the virtual show amps things up with director Quark Henares and his team creating a two-part presentation, with the special participation of singer-songwriter Jose Mari Chan.

You and your family can watch part one of the Festival of Lights Virtual Edition when it launches on Friday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m., together with father-daughter temdem Doug and Kendra Kramer, on Make It Makati's Facebook page. Enjoy a full 360-degree animated experience, and allow yourself to be transported back to Ayala Triangle as you reminisece its familiar sights and sounds. Part two will launch in a few weeks.

Aside from the show, the Festival of Lights Virtual Edition 2021 will also feature augmented reality Instagram filters you can play with. Set up the best augmented reality scenario and post it on your Facebook and Instagram Feeds, as well as your IG Stories, with tags and hashtags @makeitmakati, @ayalaland, #FestivalOfLightsVirtualEdition, #ChristmasInOurHearts, #MakeItMakati, and #AyalaLand, to join Ayala Land's contest running from the end of November to December. Get the chance to win a four-day, three-night, all-expense paid trip to El Nido for two, inclusive of airfare courtesy of AirSwift, food, and RT-PCT testing!

The city has also other events you can participate in. Circuit Makati will be hosting musicians in their Riverside Sessions starting November 20. Socially-distanced anticipated Simbang Gabi will be held in Jaime Velasquez Park and in Legaspi Acive Park; and for an even grander celebration of the season, Jose Mari Chan and the Manila Symphony Orchestra will be performing on Christmas Day at Ayala Land and Make It Makati's Online Christmas Concert.
