This Two-Bedroom Condo Was Redecorated in Just 5 Days
The design team shopped for two days while final styling took three days to finish
A project’s timeline is one of the crucial factors clients and homeowners need to agree on before moving forward. There are homes that took a year to finish and there are some that required only a few months to cover renovation and styling. This condo unit in Pasig stands out not just because it features striking colors that liven up the space, it was done in just five days! During their first visit to the unit, interior designers Honey Mutia Cervantes and Rosa Manduriao of Desaurum Co. Interior Design Studio took note of measurements and saw how bland the space looks. “Even when we’re out and sourcing for other projects, nag-iisip na kami kung anong pwede idagdag sa space. We cannot bring in kung anong nabili na kasi matatambakan ang owners kaya lahat ng deliveries may schedule,” shares Honey.
Since the project was also caught in the holiday rush, the designers had to look for workers who are willing to take on the task of repainting the walls and installing the wallpaper and other materials. “Dumadating ang workers na tools lang ang dala nila, lahat kami ang bumili. We also had to take into consideration the building’s permits and noisy hours,” adds Honey. It helped that the owner knows what she wants—to give the unit a splash of color. “She wants it to be lively, to be homey. Since she’s busy, she doesn’t have time to fix the space. Now, pagdating niya, maayos na” says Rosa. The vibrant colors in the living area became the jumping-off point of the whole project. To mirror the bubbly personality of the owner, the designers chose to work with touches of yellow, orange, blue, and green. They also took inspiration from Scandinavian design to achieve a clean, bright, and streamlined aesthetic.
