In most condo homes, privacy is one of the important concerns homeowners need to address. How can you achieve a private sleeping space without making the entire unit look tiny and cramped? Design professionals and owners have come up with smart ideas involving nifty dividers—like the one used by design consult EJ Catayong in this 40sqm condo unit in Taguig. “We worked on this unit for 40 days before officially turning it over to the owners. They simply wanted to turn it into a one-bedroom home na maganda,” he shares.

EJ describes the look as modern minimalist with an eclectic touch, as seen on the chosen décor and accessories. Since the owners didn’t have specific requests in terms of style, the design consultant had free rein in completing the space, choosing the elements carefully to match the existing cabinets and flooring. “I also incorporated touches of glass, metal, wood, and fabric into the final look,” says EJ.
