Modern meets Classic Style for a Three-Storey Condo
A corporate mom unleashes her creative side with her best DIY project: her family home
Young mom Kaye Gancayco finds a break from the corporate environment by submerging into the art of do-it-yourself crafts, and the three-storey condo she shares with her husband Joao and their son Bacchus might just be her biggest and most successful project yet.
One of the biggest considerations in designing the house was their son. Thankfully, the couple was a perfect combination of interior designer and structural engineer. Incorporating Kaye’s initial theme of a country home, the house contained various wooden installations and wooden planks. Vintage accents, Victorian and classic, are also present, punctuating rooms with a strength that balance out pastel tones, which dominates most of the house. An exception to this pastel palette is the family room, which is swaddled in graphic black and white patterns.
