A Chic Industrial-Inspired Bachelor Pad in Taguig
This 102sqm unit's cement-finish walls add to its flair and distinct hotel-like ambiance
When we think about the industrial or rustic style, we immediately imagine edgy interiors, bare walls, tons of wood, bricks, and a home inspired by snug coffee shops. Over the years, these two styles have evolved, with designers and homeowners giving their own twist to each look. In this 102sqm, two-bedroom condo unit, design consultant EJ Catayong envisioned a bachelor pad that showcases a strong masculine character with a gentleman’s style.
Yes, it has the elements associated with rustic-industrial spaces, but it also has an air of comfort and elegance reminiscent of hotels. “It reflects the personality of the client and there’s a story in every corner. It has been carefully designed as the owner requested for a modern-industrial design,” shares EJ. The entire unit was renovated while retaining the original layout. “We cannot change the layout nor renovate the ceiling, especially in the bedrooms, kitchen, and foyer due to building restrictions. To resolve this, we only added lighting fixtures to enhance the unit’s features,” he adds. Take a tour of this posh industrial-inspired space below:
