Each individual has a personal style that leads to a different look for their living spaces. In this condo unit in the city, interior designer Wilan Dayrit reflected the homeowner's taste with three design elements: the natural form of wood, the hardness of stone, and the softness of fabric.

The odd trapezoid shape of the space was transformed through a complete renovation. The makeover resulted in a clean, streamlined place with an open layout that combines the bar, living and dining areas. The seamless flow allows the owner to entertain friends and relatives with style and ease.

Since the owner loves to entertain at home, a bar was constructed to house his collection of wines and spirits. It immediately greets guests upon entering. "This is basically the center of the house. The bar area looks like a lobby," says interior designer Wilan.

Living Area

In the living area, wooden blinds were chosen because they are easy to maintain and add warmth to the space. The blinds also allow natural light to fill the room for a bright and airy look. A beige L-shaped sofa is paired with a leather armchair and two ceramic Chinese drum stools.

Minimalist art is complemented with carefully-chosen decor.

Dining Area

The bar and living areas seamlessly flow into the dining area which is furnished with a stone-top dining table. The polished granite tabletop also matches the bar's countertop to establish continuity.

Narra, a Philippine hardwood is sturdy, durable and adds a warm touch to any space, is used for the floor of the second level of the home. In the hallway, the wall is dressed up with art prints on canvas.

Warm lighting, earthy neutrals and a padded wall makes the master bedroom cozy and comfortable.

On one corner of the bedroom, an iconic Tizio desk lamp from Artemide can be found on the work table.
