A Victorian-Inspired Condo Unit
Refurbished antiques and archetypal pieces transform this space into a home befitting an era gone by
A simple home with personality was the request of homeowner Gina when she asked Dobie Aranda to design her 158sqm condo unit. Fulfilling this request can be a challenge so Dobie took inspiration from Gina’s love for old and classical things to create the Victorian-inspired home she and her family live in now. Although simple and Victorian don’t seem to go together, it was neatly executed as envisioned by the homeowner.
A couple of Victorian pieces can give any room plenty of personality without overcrowding. The intricate details and the different textures bring depth to a space and keep things interesting. Despite the entire condo being stark white, the place is very warm because of the rich colors and suede textures that dot the home. For décor, Dobie made use of renaissance-style sculptures instead of small, painstaking details. Brimming with character, the home is definitely how the owner wanted it to be.
