A Travel Buff’s One-Bedroom Unit Goes Bold with Art Deco Details
Here’s proof that small spaces shouldn’t be limited to neutral colors and simple accessories
Just because a space measures 36 square meters doesn’t mean you can’t go for big pieces and bold details. Take it from interior designers Kristine Neri-Magturo and Miah Gomez and Chino Carlos of Carlos+Gomez Interior Design, who worked together to create an art deco-themed space with a timeless appeal.
“We took modern-day France as inspiration: current and up to date, but without losing the elements of elegance and charm,” say Miah and Chino, who designed the living and dining areas. Kristine, who took charge of designing the bedroom, may have gone for bold choices but managed to keep the overall look from being overwhelming. “Everything is still refined,” Kristine says.
