A Cosmopolitan Condominium in the City

This couple took cues from their favorite five-star establishments to create an elegant, hotel-style halfway home

Original Article: Sunshine Selga Funa Interior Designer: Mica Aquino

In the middle of a bustling city, perched on top of a busy lifestyle mall is where homeowners Ed and Gemma found their second home. Having their main home in Quezon City, the halfway house allowed them to avoid the daily traffic they would have to laboriously crawl to get to and from work. The convenience of its location and the proximity to their work places were exactly the two things they were looking for. What was left was to decorate.

Being in the center of a city, it was only sensible for the couple to create a space befitting of a hotel. And with the help of interior designer Mica Aquino, they were able to make a luxurious suite of their very own. Mica perfectly blended the white walls with taupe and brown furniture to create an inviting abode. Add to that the different textures of smooth and velvety fabrics made the space even more comfortable. A few silver accents here and there were placed for that small elegant touch. It’s no wonder the Santos family opts to stay here rather than booking a room—not only does it have the luxuries of a hotel but it, too, has all the comforts of home.
