A 75sqm Simple Yet Elegant Condo Home

Hotel-like details meet contemporary elements in this two-bedroom unit

Many (if not all) homeowners have three important considerations when it comes to completing their spaces. One, it should be pretty and welcoming; two, it must be functional; and lastly, the space should be comfortable—so comfortable that even guests wouldn't want to leave.

In this 75sqm unit, a successful collaboration between the owners, interior designer Johanna Corteza, and a trusted contractor brought the space to life and met all of the requirements above. "Our interior designer was able to interpret our ideas, passion, and taste; and our contractor was able to put it all to reality," says the owner. After a four-month renovation period, a contemporary unit was achieved—with clean interiors and a classic look completed with natural materials and neutral colors.

The look of the whole unit takes inspiration from Armani/Casa—a luxurious home and furniture collection under the Armani label. A few steps from the door is a console with gold details and an ornate mirror. Aside from giving the owners extra storage space, it's also the perfect place to display a few collections and photographs.

Living and Dining Areas

One would instantly notice the hotel-like ambiance given the wood paneling, thick drapes, and elegant pieces in the living and dining areas. Upholstered chairs surround the wooden dining table while droplights from Luxen add a sophisticated touch.

Living Area

An area rug anchors the living area while the neutral walls add to the spacious feel. The walls serve as the perfect backdrop to the modern furniture pieces, brass accents, and wood paneling that houses the entertainment system.

According to Johanna, all furniture pieces added to the home were customized by AGP Furniture & Interiors (find them on Instagram: @agpfurniture). The living area showcases a balance of hues—with hints of neutrals, earth tones, and a few touches of black to complete the elegant look.

Dining Area Detail

Behind the dining set is a cabinet that houses wines, spirited beverages, and a set of glasses. The cabinet under the shelf can be used to store dinnerware and other dining essentials.

It's hard not to miss the open kitchen—with its travertine walls, red backsplash, and press laminate cabinets. Storage is given utmost importance with the number of shelves, overhead cabinets, and drawers. A bold red backsplash not only works well with wood, it adds contrast to the space, too.

Since the space above the sink is open, the owners can chat with guests even while preparing food.

One of the first things guests would notice upon entering the kitchen is the slim shelf for utensils and a few bottles of condiments. Having this in the cooking area helps prevent clutter and makes it easier to get what's needed when preparing meals.

Aside from condiments and utensils, the shelf can also be used to organize cookbooks and small pieces of dinnerware.

Master Bedroom

Stepping into the bedroom feels like stepping into your assigned room in a five-star hotel. The bed with an upholstered headboard is enough to make you want to take a well-deserved slumber. Adding to the relaxing feel are the crispy white sheets and fluffy pillows.

Identical lamps and a 3D wall panel above the bed give the bedroom an extra luxurious touch.

A closer look at the 3D wall panel showcases a pattern reminiscent of twigs and trees. To learn more about 3D wall panels and other similar treatments, you can check out Ricad.

Master Bedroom

On the left side of the room is a tiny nook meant for working and reading. To balance out the wooden touches and dark hues in the space, a white chair with steel legs was added.

Master Bathroom

From the bed, the owners can easily access the spacious bathroom. The see-through glass that separates it from the sleeping space adds to the airy feel and keeps it from looking too cramped.

Master Bathroom

Mosaic tiles add perspective to the space and keep it from being too plain. The choice of color and pattern worked well with the concrete floor and white fixtures to keep it streamlined.

Guest/Secret Bedroom

Beside the cabinet in the dining area is a secret bedroom that can accommodate guests and friends. To open the door, one simply needs to give the wall a slight push. Given the limited area, the space is completed with light curtains, a console cabinet, and a sofa bed. To add texture to the room, the designed also worked with wallpaper resembling a brick accent wall.
