Since living in the city can be quite exhausting, many of us make it a point to create a home that’s not only relaxing but can be a special place where we can rest, recuperate, and spend some quiet time with friends and loved ones, too. Serving as a halfway home for a semi-retired couple who lives in Alabang, this 73sqm one-bedroom condo with balcony is a city dweller’s dream. It features a spacious layout and a welcoming feel that anyone would love to come home to.

According to interior designer Christian Banayad, he wanted to bring the outdoors into the home without actually creating a beach cottage-inspired space. He worked with hints of blue, yellow, and green as these worked well against the gray color of the city. The result is a high-rise sanctuary that’s light, open, and easy on the eyes.
