A 34sqm Condo Unit Gets the Full Design Treatment

With their business in Antipolo and homes in Binangonan, Rizal, and Las Pinas, couple Joel and Matet acquired a 34sqm condo unit that served as their city-based halfway home. But when time came to design the space, the couple was a bit hesitant to hire a professional—fearful that it meant spending more money. After some deliberation and seeing the works of Grace Moslares in Real Living magazine, they took the chance.

Immediately, Grace put their minds at ease—explaining that hiring professional help, in fact, lessens the expense rather than adds to it. From there, the couple gave the designer full authority over the renovation; completely stepping aside until the project was done. With only one requirement from the family, Grace completely transformed the space into a home that fit all six members of the family. Because the space was very limited, she added a red accent wall to liven up the space; muting it with neutrals. Now, the unit is the favorite getaway for the couple’s grownup kids. Since the renovation, Joel and Matet feel absolutely satisfied with their decision to ask help from a design professional—even going as far as consulting with her when making small changes.
