What can you do with a 24sqm homeThe Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) graduating students explore the possibilities through Studio 24, an interior design exhibit with 24 different units that measure 24 square meters each.

One of the 24 spaces is a studio unit for a 29-year-old art director with vintage touches and mid-century modern details. Here are 4 things that caught our attention in this bachelor pad:

Eames Lounge and Ottoman

Graduating students Julie Gil, Kristine Villanueva, Mika Hernandez, Rhea Salvador, Hazel Valdes, and Marijoy Mercado picked out an Eames Lounge and Ottoman. This iconic seat was first introduced in the 50s and it is still popular today because it is both attractive and comfortable.

Wooden Ceiling Treatment

How can you define spaces in a studio unit without using a divider or putting up a wall? The students opted for a wooden ceiling treatment for the sleeping area. This also adds interest to the unit without taking up precious floor space.

Rustic Brick Wall

A rustic brick wall also helps separate the sleeping area from the kitchen and dining areas. It is adorned with charming paintings of vintage cars.

Streamlined Kitchen and Dining Area

On the other side of the studio unit is the kitchen and dining area! To make the most of the limited space, the students designed shelves that would run the length of one wall. These wall-mounted shelves provide the homeowner with more storage space.

Studio 24 will run from October 3 to 31, 2015 at the Ronac Lifestyle Center, Paseo de Magallanes, Makati City. Admission is free.
