Entrepreneur couple Jibby and Char Tinio was able to transform their bare 120sqm condo unit into a picturesque Zen home with the help of architects Glenn Malig and Ria Garcia-Malig of Gamaconstruct. Inspired by hotel rooms, chic restaurants, and relaxing spas, the couple took their time in deciding the color scheme and furniture for their abode. Soon after, their collaboration with the architects resulted in a home complete with a relaxing master bedroom, an entertainment room, and a nursery.

A neutral color palette was finally used as it doesn’t overwhelm the senses and it gives the home a fresher and spacious look. The only standout is the use of captivating terracotta orange in the balcony. Most of the furniture pieces were bought from different stores, although some were custom-fit by Mach Molina and Bambi Cuna of Norli Construction. Accessories and décor are found all over the unit. These are simple items that can be easily amped up, dressed down or mixed up depending on the mood of the owners – such as the plain tall vase that may be filled with rocks during the summer or Christmas balls in time for the holiday season or flowers during Valentine’s day. Halogen lights, Japanese-themed elements, wood, and clean lines all make for a peaceful and comfortable living space.
