In the 11 years that Aubrey Miles has practiced her green thumb, she has brought home around a hundred of different plant species. She’s definitely “Mother Plant” long before the emergence of plantitos and plantitas, and is quite knowledgeable when it comes to gardening.

In a previous interview with Real Living, she mentioned that caring for plants meant really getting to know them. "I take care of all my plants differently. I have a lot of dos and donts, but basically I do my research,” she says. “I now know what works in my home.”

When it comes to favorites, she admits that she has a lot, but her Monstera stands out. “Ang tagal na sa ‘kin, siguro mga nine years na. Siya ‘yong never gives up on me. Never nag-give up kahit na muntik nang mamatay, nabuhay ulit, muntik nang mamatay—nabuhay.

Aubrey invests a lot of time, love, effort, and funds in maintaining and growing her garden. In a recent conversation with Summit Media, she says that when people find out how much she spends for her greens, “parang I feel like they think I’m crazy… But the way I do it, when I get an expensive plant, I make sure that I’m going to propagate it.”
