5 Fun Ways To Style The Foot Of The Bed

These ideas will surely put you in a good mood!

There are a lot of overlooked spots in our homes—the space under the stairs, the end of hallways, the wall behind your bed, and the end zone of your sleeping spot.

Have you ever thought of sprucing up this often ignored area? Instead of letting space go to waste, why not turn it into something that can help turn your room into the snuggest spot in the home? To help you out, we've come up with a few out-of-the-box ideas that may just inspire you start redecorating your safe haven.

Use the end zone of your bed to create a makeshift way station for putting on shoes in the morning. Find a bench that comes with a floating shelf and let it serve as footwear storage—pick something in a neutral color like gray to make sure it matches your existing decor.

For a Bohemian vibe, you can switch traditional storage for something more contemporary like woven bins. Maximize its function by assigning one for different things—one for dirty laundry, another for dry-clean-only clothes, and a piece for freshly washed clothes.

Achieve a clean and streamlined look by sticking to monochrome pieces. You can experiment with a simple, wooden bench that comes in a lighter wash and finish off with a textured throw. Feel free to add your bedtime essentials like the book you're currently reading or scented candles, too.

For a look that's both interesting and practical, consider a single shelf out of wooden pallets. Aside from using it as shelves, it can also double as extra seating if it's sturdy enough. Make sure you sand them down before using to avoid splinters.
