How to Position Your Bed, According to Feng Shui

Your bed shouldn't be in direct line with your door.

Feng Shui is all about achieving a good flow of energy in one's home. That said, the placement of furniture and accessories matter, especially when it comes to beds. According to Know Feng Shui, this is the most important piece of furniture in your living space. After all, this is where you would typically spend most of your private time in.

Ideally, your bed should be positioned in a way where you can see the main door, but it shouldn't be in direct line with it. This "optimal position is called the command position," explains Feng Shui consultant Laura Morris in one of her Youtube videos. Of course, "sometimes, that is not possible," she adds. "Sometimes, you need to adjust but we really do want to create a sense of being able to see what is coming at you and adjust for that. Because what you can see is what you can control and you really want to be able to control and see all the obstacles and opportunities coming at you."
