Decorating a new home is a fun and daunting task. Since your sharing the space with your significant other, it's best to take into account the other's opinion when it comes to furniture and accessories.

Aside from buying all the necessary basic pieces, you may also start working on the different areas of the house. If you're currently decorating your dining area, here are tips that you may want to consider.

Invest in a quality table

Pick a quality piece that you can pass down to your children. Visit different stores so you can compare items and price points, too. You may also visit furniture makers in Pampanga or Laguna to see if you can score a quality piece. There are also stores that can customize a table for you.

Install droplights

If a chandelier is too fancy and pricey for you, you can always add chic droplights. Hang three in a row to keep the proportion with the table's size. Visit different stores and pick fixtures that go well with your home's style and palette.

Opt for plastic chairs

Depending on your home style and if you want budget-friendly finds, you can never go wrong with quality plastic chairs. Choose pieces in bright colors like green, red, or blue to add pops of color in your dining space.

Choose dinnerware with clean lines

It’s still advisable to purchase dinnerware that looks clean and simple so that it can match the versatility of your room. Go for neutral colored plates, spoons, forks, and then inject color by pairing it with vibrant table napkins and placemats.
