DIY: All-Purpose Citrus Cleaner

Whether it's recycling plastic bags, eating clean, or becoming a cruelty-free consumer, you can't go wrong with going the green route. Another thing you can do to lessen your carbon footprint is using all-natural solutions starting with an all-purpose citrus cleaner. 

How does it work? Just like lemon juice, citrus essential oil has a bleaching power that ranges from whitening countertops to freshening up kitchen cabinets—it can practically make anything in your home look brand new. Try out this awesome concoction by following the recipe below: 

What you need: 

• Vinegar 
• Water
• Wild Orange Essential Oil or Lemon Oil
• Melaleuca (Tea Tree) Oil 
• Spray Bottle

How-to: 

Simply combine 1 cup of vinegar, 1 and 1/2 cups of water, 30 drops of wild orange essential oil, and 10 drops of tea tree oil in a spray bottle. Shake well before each use. 

RL Tip: If you aren't a fan of the scent of tea tree oil, you can replace it with mint. It smells slightly sweeter but it still has the same antibacterial properties.
