We’re all guilty of one thing when shopping: we go through racks and shelves to find the perfect piece, one without scratches, marks, and looks picture-ready. While these are guaranteed to add flair to any space, there are instances when an imperfect vase, pillow, or chair can add a distinct personality to the home. For its latest limited edition collection, crowd-favorite IKEA collaborated with Dutch designer Piet Heim Eek. More than excited to work and partner with IKEA, Piet is known for working with salvaged materials.

On their website, the Swedish brand shares that they wanted to make the feel of handmade items available to more people, hence the birth of the INDUSTRIELL Collection. “To make the INDUSTRIELL collection, we developed new ways to work with wood, glass, ceramics, and textiles to produce consistently unique products on a big scale,” says the designer.

Each item included in the collection has a raw, organic feel that you’ll instantly fall in love with. The terracotta vases have unique curves while the chair highlights the exceptional beauty of unrefined wood."I think INDUSTRIELL is beautiful because you can feel a personality behind the products," IKEA creative leader Karin Gustavsson says in press release published on Apartment Therapy.

Here are some of the pieces we loved from the collection:

INDUSTRIELL Chair

With a shaped back and seat, the comfy chair is available in a natural finish and in colors like yellow and blue. In designing the chair, IKEA and the designer share that they wanted to use as much of the tree as they could. You can still see knots and the changes in grain.

INDUSTRIELL Pendant Lamps

Available in different shapes and sizes, these lamps can liven up the smallest of dining nooks and event add a rustic charm to a balcony.

INDUSTRIELL Armchair

Sleek and timeless, you can place the armchair in the living area or as part of your reading nook.

INDUSTRIELL Shelving Unit

Aside from getting bookcases, a lovely shelving unit like this can give you a place where you can showcase books and other knickknacks. It can double as wall accent once installed.

INDUSTRIELL Vase

According to IKEA's website, the vases were cast in different handmade molds—the reason why each piece is unique. While some look similar, these are definitely not identical.

The INDUSTRIELL Collection is now available in IKEA stores. We're hoping to get our hands on these pieces when IKEA PH finally opens! For more details about the collection, click here.
