Things You Can Also Do on Your Favorite Digital Wallet and Delivery Apps

They're more powerful than you think!

Since it’s safer to stay home in the midst of a pandemic, you’ve probably downloaded a lot of digital wallet and delivery apps in the past year. But aside from learning the basics, have you really explored how far they can take you when it comes to convenience?

Here are other things you can do on your Grab and GCash apps that you probably haven’t tried yet:

GRAB: Order from different restaurants in one billing

Just before the pandemic, Grab launched their cloud kitchen called GrabKitchen, which enables you to order from different merchants in one place. Now, they’ve expanded the service from Makati to other cities within Metro Manila, one of them being Pasig.

GrabKitchen Pasig has a “Mix and Max” option that allows you to buy from different restos in one billing—that means, you'll only have to pay the fee of one delivery.

It’s pretty easy to use: simply get on the app, pick “Grab Food” and then “GrabKitchen”. Tap “Mix and Match (Pasig)”, and from there, you can order from a number of merchants including Omakase, Happilee, King Chef, Merienda by Pan de Manila, 24 Chicken, La Titas MNL, CoCo, Conti’s, and Merry Moo. That’s basically appetizers, to main meals, to desserts!

Mix and Match is a great option for times when you can’t decide on what to eat, or for when you’re planning to buy your day’s meals in one go. It saves you time and also lessens your trips out to pick up food.

Unfortunately, the service isn’t available outside Metro Manila just yet, so here’s hoping the nearby provinces get a chance to experience GrabKitchen’s Mix and Match option, too!

GCash: Buy budol-worthy items for your home

You probably use your GCash app to pay your bills, transfer money to family members, or pay online sellers. But did you know that you can actually get discounts on household items through GCash’s GLife portal?

Tap on the GLife icon and you can enjoy discounts on appliances and furnishings you’ve been planning to buy! Brands like Xtreme and Condura’s Concepstore are on the app. Our favorite is probably Domesticity, a curation of local products mainly from Negros Occidental that offer a rustic, Filipino vibe.

Aside from items for your home, you can also enjoy grocery picks from PureGo, drinks from Boozy, tech from Datablitz, and many more—all the using the convenient and safe payment methods of Gcash.

GRAB and GCash are both downloadable from the Google Playstore and the Apple App Store.
