Q: My husband and I are halfway through the construction of our house. The main theme of the house is Italian. We have seen many Italian furniture dealers, but they are so expensive. Can you suggest stores or suppliers of good quality, Philippine-made furniture?—Tina Ignacio-Alberto (via Facebook)

A: Good quality Italian furniture, even the customized ones, are often really expensive. However, you can find affordable modern pieces made from metal and leather at Our Home, Dimensione, and Mandaue Foam. Mandaue Foam can also customize a piece for you but it would take around three months. Just be sure to bring pegs and photos of the items that you are looking for.
