This Dyson Cordless Vacuum Is Especially Engineered For Homes With Pets

If you have a lot of pet hair in your home, then Dyson has the answer to all your problems. The Dyson V15 Detect has just launched in the Philippines, and it's the company's most powerful, intelligent cordless vacuum. Plus, the vacuum was also engineered especially for homes with pets. Here's everything you need to know about the Dyson V15 Detect.

Developed by a team of 370 engineers, the Dyson V15 Detect uses a Dyson Hyperdymium motor. What that means is that it generates up to 230 air watts of suction with five-stage filtration that captures 99.99 percent of dust particles down to 0.3 microns. Thanks to laser dust technology, it can clean so deep that it gets fine dust we usually won't be able to see in our homes.

If you need more proof, then you can check the vacuum's LCD screen for real-time scientific proof of a deep clean. The Piezo sensor integrated into the vacuum allows you to see the dust size and quantity. In auto mode, the vacuum automatically increases suction power when it comes across a large amount of dust. The first clean with the vacuum, in particular, is eye-opening. When we tried the V15 Detect, the suction power was certainly strong. After another pass in the same area, the power was significantly reduced which meant the dust levels normalized.

"Our latest vacuums use adapted laser technology to reveal hidden dust, integrating a diode laser into the cleaner head that is precisely positioned at a 1.5 degree angle, 7.3mm off the ground to create the best contrast between dust and floor. We don’t think detection is enough, so we remove and meticulously size and count the particles 15,000 times a second using an acoustic piezo sensor which converts vibrations into electrical signals, displaying precisely the size and number of particles sucked up on an LCD at the back of the vacuum," explains James Dyson, chief engineer and founder of Dyson.

Now, let's talk about what the vacuum does for pet hair (and hair, in general). With the anti-tangle Hair Screw, the challenge of removing hair on the brush is solved. The bar uses a new anti-tangle conical brush that spirals hair off and into the bin. No more wrapping of hair around the bar.

"The impact pets have in the home goes beyond what we can see," says Monika Stuczen, research scientist in microbiology at Dyson. "Effectively removing pet hair is important, but pet dander with dried-on saliva is a problem which is invisible to the naked eye. These microscopic particles can carry allergy-causing proteins around the home. Lightweight and miniscule, they can remain airborne for hours or transfer between objects. Research has even found cat allergens in rooms where cats have never been. So, the proper filtration found in Dyson machines is vital to maintain a cleaner whole-home environment."

The Dyson V15 is available in two models: the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (HEPA) which is priced at P54,900 and the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute which is priced at P50,900.
