Check It Out: Celebrities Play Designer for a Day with Philux Fix
Bianca Gonzalez, Heart Evangelista-Escudero, Erwan Heussaff and a few more of your favorite stars have created pieces close to their heart
Whether you're a certified interior designer or a budding stylist, we're certain you'd agree when we say that a piece of furniture is more than just an object that's made of wood or steel—it is a work of art that requires craftsmanship and impeccable taste. Philux is one of the few local brands that have kept this philosophy.
Over the years, the retail giant has delivered nothing but the best furnishing pieces to clients. Head of Sales and Business Development, Stephanie Kienle-Gonzles, says this is a testament to how deeply passionate they are about championing Filipino talent and the furniture-making scene. This is also part of the reason why they have decided to launch Philux Fix, the brand's latest campaign.
The furniture and photo exhibit that happened last week at the Mega Fashion Hall, aims to showcase the versatility and ingenuity of Philux’s all-Filipino craftsmen. They have also decided to collaborate with a group of influencers from different backgrounds—photographer BJ Pascual who also photographed all the other personalities, Heart Evangelista-Escudero, new mom Bianca Gonzalez, the ever-vibrant Tessa Prieto-Valdes along with many others—to customize an item of their choosing and make it their own.
Missed the exhibit? Don’t worry, we’ve got some of the pieces to show you. Check them out below:
First-time mom Bianca Gonzalez-Intal had her actual handprints, her husband JC Intal's, and baby Lucia's printed on the Marquis Meridenne to serve as a treasured family piece.
Restaurateur Erwan Heussaff went with the Embla Chair for its understated elegance and timeless appeal.
Actress and artist Heart Evangelista-Escudero, whose artwork on Birkin bags got everyone's attention, has chosen to do something similar on her Polk Chair with a few added embellishments.
Angie King and wife Joey Mead King chose the Valencia Daybed and dressed it up in soft, pastel colors.
Journalist Karen Davila went with the Skara Chair to be the perfect piece to relax in after a long day.
