So you’ve landed in your dream summer destination and checked into a lovely boutique hotel. But unpacking your bags reveals a not-so-good surprise: clothes wrinkled beyond recognition, and not an iron in sight!
Not all international hotels have irons and ironing rooms (sometimes because of fire safety standards), only the dreaded—and expensive—laundry service. So what’s a traveler to do? Heat it up fast.
Plug in the Steam&Go—a red light pops up on top—and wait 45 seconds (for us, we waited 60 seconds the first time), press the blue button, and steam away.
Steam out the creases.
We’ve tried it on a crinkly cotton blouse and it came out all smooth—save for a few specks of water that emanated from the nozzle, which dried up at once (it also works on delicate fabrics). The best part is that you can steam your garment while hanging, or flat on the bed (which means you can steam your bed sheet, too). This type of steamer is also perfect for homeowners who hate ironing!
Tuck it away.
Unlike traditional standing garment steamers, which are large and sometimes bulky, the Steam&Go is tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The water receptacle is the right size, and can be detached and reattached easily.
Tote it along.
