KitchenAid's Limited Edition Stand Mixer is Pastel Perfect

Make your kitchen dreams come true with this addition

Did you know that the ever-reliable KitchenAid will be turning a hundred years old in 2019? Besides celebrating 100 years of making culinary history and being a trusty kitchen companion to all foodies all over the world, there's one more reason to bake that cake and celebrate!

KitchenAid released a limited edition stand mixer in a calming Misty Blue color. According to a report by Delish, this isn't the first time KitchenAid used this color. The soft blue hue is actually a nod to the first colored mixers KitchenAid debuted, way back in 1937.

This Misty Blue stand mixer functions the same way as any of their modern stand mixers, but when you look closer, there are a lot of details that give it an extra special vintage vibe. The KitchenAid logo is heritage-inspired, hence it’s a little curvier than the usual blocky letters. The Power Hub cover is customized with a “100-year anniversary, 1919-2019, Michigan, USA” while the lock toggle on the mixer’s tilt-head reads “1919 – ONE HUNDRED YRS – 2019.”

The limited edition must-have can be packaged with a ceramic bowl ($499.99, ongoing sale price; $649.99, retail price) or with a white coated stainless bowl ($399.99, ongoing sale price; $519.99, retail price). Although they might be pricey, these mixers can stand the test of time—maybe even for more than a hundred years.
