Unexpectedly Stylish Fast Food Branches To Visit
These joints promise you a pleasant dining experience
If we think about it, many fast food stops have the same design elements. Most make use of warm lighting, bright colors, plastic stackable seats, and square tables that look all too similar. However, this past year, we've seen a few places with new and well-thought-out designs. These branches are taking the ambiance and style game to the next level, and if you're ready for a one-of-a-kind (but affordable!) dining experience, here are places that you need to put on top of your list:
McDonald’s Tagaytay-Calamba Road
How about enjoying a burger and fries combo with a view of the Taal Lake on the side? This McDonald's branch allows you to take in the surroundings while enjoying your favorites. Though located along the main road, it still has a distinct, cozy appeal—thanks to the wooden pieces, mix of rustic metal Tolix-style chairs and sleek modern furniture, warm lights, and the presence of plants. The best part? It also has an al fresco area where you can enjoy the breeze! For those looking for design inspiration, you can take a few hints from how they were able to perfectly mesh a city feel with the natural landscape of the place.
Greenwich Pizza in Visayas Avenue
Designed by interior designer Wilmer Lopez and his team at W. Lopez Designs, the revamped Greenwich features mid-century-modern pieces reminiscent of Space Encounters—such as tufted wingchairs and retro-style banquette seating—this branch has a homey feel with an industrial flair as seen in the bricks and wooden pieces used. Look around and choose the best bakcground for your Instagram snap.
Jollibee in Ligaya, Pasig
A two-storey food haven with high ceilings, a Zen vibe, and tons of big windows—what more could you ask for? This Jollibee store was able to blend an inviting feel with the colors the brand is known for—creating a place where one can enjoy classic favorites with family and friends. The furniture pieces also come in colors like pewter, purple, and red—an unexpected combo that makes the place cozier.
Various Chowking branches
From the outside, one would be curious to see what the new Chowking branches look like. Earth tones, huge windows, and interesting pieces all work together to create a space that's modern yet homey for the popular Chinese fast food chain. Wilmer Lopez also redesigned most of the branches, and the team used industrial-style concrete with whimsical murals and signs, nostalgic Machuka tiles, and colors that allude to dimsum dining.
