Many say that champion weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz carried not just 224 kgs, but also the entire Philippines when she won the country’s first ever Olympic gold in Tokyo 2020—and after all her sacrifices, the rewards that she is now reaping are definitely well-deserved.

Aside from the monetary gifts from the private and the public sectors, the free flights, and a lifetime supply of gas, she is also set to own three new properties.

As reported by GMA News, Philippine Olympic Committee president and Rep. Abraham Tolentino announced in a press conference that Hidilyn will be receiving a house and lot in Tagaytay, which he had also promised to athletes who will win the gold medal earlier this month.

Real estate company Megaworld Corporation announced that they will be gifting the Olympic medalist a condo in Eastwood City worth P14M. In a statement on their website, chief strategy officer Kevin L. Tan says, “This epic moment is about 97 years in the making, and this is our way of saying thanks to Hidilyn for making us all proud. We believe that it’s just right to give our first-ever Olympic gold medalist a home in our first-ever township, Eastwood City, where she can enjoy the township lifestyle with her family and loved ones.”
