5 Things to Love About #RLCondo with Century Properties

Morfosis Design successfully transformed this one-bedroom home into a delightful urban oasis

It can be quite difficult to find a spot in the city where you can just stop, take a quick respite, and relish tranquility. With everything around us moving so fast, a walk in the park or a few precious minutes doing nothing can already be considered as a blessing.

Since we’re all too familiar with the hurly-burly of city life, many of us are slowly transforming our spaces into a calming sanctuary where we can take refuge after a long day. If you’re currently working on your home, here are five things that we loved best about the #RLCondo at Acqua Private Residences that can inspire you:

The striking colors

Designed by Pai Edles and Misty Floro of Morfosis, the unit features a predominantly white color scheme with pops of color. Touches of blue and green (Boysen’s Cyber Police Blue and Bermuda Courtyard Green, respectively) were used on the ceiling to break the monotony of white walls.

Bold wallpapers that add character to the space

Once you step inside the unit, you would instantly notice the geometric pattern of the wallpaper used in the living area. Meanwhile, in the bedroom, the wall features a bold typography print. These choices provide contrast in the space.

Multifunctional furniture that help maximize the floor area

One of the challenges in designing the unit was the limited floor area. To turn a compact space into a comfortable home, you need to invest in the right set of furniture.

In the #RLCondo, Pai and Misty worked with pieces that bring together style and function. They chose a sofa bed, a folding dining table, and a bed with storage underneath. To keep the space free from clutter, vertical and wall-mounted storage units were also incorporated into the design.

Charming decor that add a refreshing vibe

How do you bring a bit of the outdoors into the home? Consider having a mini pocket garden. If this is not possible, add vases filled with fresh flowers or terrariums in the living and dining areas.

For the mini terrariums in this unit, Pai and Misty worked with glass vessels purchased at Wilcon Depot. Drop by the Quezon City Memorial Circle or Centris Weekend Market to score similar plants.

The lovely balcony

Aside from giving owners a breathtaking view of the city skyline, the balcony also offers a serene vibe that would make one feel like he or she is in a garden. Team Morfosis paired the artificial grass with a comfy chair and gardening tools as accessories to complete the tropical rainforest look.
