4 Things To Look Out For When Renting a Condo Unit
Are you ready to meet your neighbors?
With the different properties being erected here and there, it's quite easy to secure a new condo unit. If you have the budget, you can simply opt for the property that's nearest to your office and other establishments. Of course you need to take note of amenities and terms of payment, too!
Aside from these factors, you need to get down to the nitty-gritty as well. Here are four things that we think you should look out for when condo hunting:
Internet and Phone Connections
"Malakas kaya ang signal sa lugar na 'to?" should be one of the first few questions that you need to ask the building admin. Since you will be expecting the space, you can check right there and then if your phone has more than two bars of signal.
Since we've become too dependent on the Internet, you need to make sure if you can set up a stable Wi-Fi connection. This usually depends on the location of the building.
While you can always hang clothes in the balcony or choose to avail of laundry services outside, it's a plus if there's a communal laundry facility in the building. It's practical, convenient, and you are assured that your clothes are clean and well taken care of.
There will always be neighbors who love watching TV at full volume, those who love loud music, and those who can't get enough of videoke time. If this is a deal breaker for you, you may opt to soundproof your home or better yet, visit the building during daytime and nighttime. This will give you a glimpse of the environment—you may even meet some of your future neighbors!
Depending on your needs or if you're moving in with a friend or partner, you can choose between a studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or a loft. Don't just look at the space. Take time to imagine how you will live in the space and how you will arrange your furniture. Envision how everything will look like as this can help you make a final decision.
