We knocked on the doors of the homes of our previous Ultimate Makeover winners to see how they maintained the spaces

The Real Makeover, hands down, is the Real Living readers’ favorite section, and we have been doing this since 2004. And as much as we take delight in every finished makeover, we always wonder how the spaces would look like after a year or two (or more). So we’ve stopped wondering and paid three Ultimate Makeover winners a visit to find out how they were doing, and to offer suggestions for further improvement.

SEPTEMBER 2010: The Baldevaronas

This Quezon City makeover was by far the most extensive and heart-warming makeover we have done, with the help of designers Kristine Neri-Magturo and Jean Paul dela Rosa. The designers turned the decades-old house into a Shabby Chic-inspired home anchored by distressed-finish furniture and DIY accessories.
