How Fresh Paint and Rearranging Furniture Made Mikaela Martinez's Home Light and Airy
Maggie Wilson renovated the house in 3 days!
Since Mikaela Martinez and her family moved into their home 12 years ago, they have never changed the paint. It was starting to turn yellow from age, and she figured it was time for a fresh coat. The new color on the walls instantly transformed the space, but she didn't stop there. With the help of interior decorator and her friend Maggie Wilson, the mom of three had the common areas of her home redesign and rearranged, achieving a light and airy feel.

Foyer
To achieve a more uniform color scheme on the foyer, Maggie moved the painting placed there previously to the gallery wall and replaced it with a family photo. She also rearranged the decor on the console table. "We didn't change the table, but we did change the way the items were placed. Again, it's really important for me to create different levels, and you'll see that in the decor that's on there right now," she says.
