With P20,000, This Special Education Teacher Turned a Storage Room Into a Classroom

Cyrell Jones Sidlao is a special education (SPED) teacher based in Zamboanga, who works with learners who have difficulty remembering details.

“Really quite challenging talaga siya,” he shares in a recent interview with Summit Media. “Pero the good thing is, ‘pag marunong na sila with that certain lesson, super fulfilling talaga siya.”

In preparation for the return of face-to-face classes, Cyrell went above and beyond for his students: he turned storage room into a classroom, all from his own pocket.
