RL Makeovers: A P100,000 Living Room Transformation in an 86sqm Home

When Goldie Fuertes Miranda failed to win Real Living’s Ultimate Makeover last year, she gave up hope of winning a free makeover in time for her parents’ golden wedding anniversary. Imagine her surprise when she found out that she would also receive a free Real Living makeover!

Goldie explains that the 86sqm house was built 30 years ago but it has never been renovated or updated. In fact, their living room was already crowded with furniture, appliances, and other things that her family accumulated through the years. Since this is the space that would greet family and friends upon entering the home, interior designer Kimi Manuel focused on this area.

For this makeover, Kimi spent four days finding materials and accessories at Robinsons Department Store and Handyman. She also devoted six days on the renovation. Her efforts (as well as that of her entire team) are clearly reflected in the bright new look of the living room.
