Eunice Cleofas moved into her home in Merville, Parañaque seven years ago. The 37-year-old property was a gift from her parents, who had wanted her and her family to start out without the burden of rent.

As with every old abode, Eunice’s home had maintenance issues, specifically a termite infestation. The bugs had hallowed out the wooden shelves in their 25-square-meter kitchen, and have ruined most of the old parquet floor. Using her 13th month pay, she finally decided to renovate the area with the help of her family in December 2019.
