One self-confessed “contest freak” makes it into Real Living’s winners' circle
Homeowner Joy Bahia is no stranger to contests. This Kumon center teacher admits that joining contests is a part of her daily routine! Her persistence and diligence in finding these promos has led her to enjoy a variety of prizes, cash, and opportunities to travel. As a seasoned “contest freak,” it comes as no surprise that Joy would eventually stumble upon Real Living’s makeover promo and win a bedroom transformation for her family.
“Laurence and I have been getting backaches—me, from sleeping horizontally on the bed, in between the boys, and Laurence from sleeping on the floor!” Joy wrote in her contest entry. One of RL's trusted designers, interior designer Lisa Salvador stepped in to improve the space. Apart from the bed issue, she was also tasked to come up with display solutions for Laurence’s and the kids’ knickknacks. The overall result is a well-organized and comfortable bedroom for a family of four.
