Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia just exchanged I Dos today, with the beauty of Balesin Island as a fitting backdrop. While we’re busy stalking the #ColeenGotTheBill hashtag on Instagram, we can’t help but fall in love with the styling and overall feel of Coleen’s despedida de soltera, which they celebrated a few days ago. “It is such a breath of fresh air creating a different twist and novel touch to an old theme that at times connected to a kiddie party. But when Coleen gave us the brief, we knew exactly why and how she wanted to make it fun, light, cute, and significant,” said wedding and events planner La Belle Fete in an Instagram post.

With the expertise of topnotch event designer Gideon Hermosa and a team of professionals, Casa Ibarra was transformed into a chic nautical-inspired space. Here are some of the details we loved best:

The Venue

Casa Ibarra, a beautiful venue that highlights a modern Filipino aesthetic, has elements that match a nautical-inspired gathering. It features materials like capiz shells and raffia fabric, details that complement sea- and sailor-inspired accessories.

Drapes in white and blue match the striped fabrics sprucing up the ceiling. Spotlights help accentuate the pretty details while the elegant Henna and Terra iron and hemp light fixtures from GALA add drama to the setup.

The Details

On stage, beautiful blooms, rustic-inspired decor, and boat shelves surround the wingback tufted loveseat. Striped fabrics keep within the theme and make the backdrop more interesting.

The table setting will make you feel like you're dining by the sea. Wooden tables and chairs with solihiya details add warmth to the setup punctuated with quirky details. Instead of an ordinary table runner, a net was used to spruce up the table. Dinnerware in white and touches of blue complete the look.

If you look closely at the centerpiece, the blooms are displayed in wooden containers and complemented with mini ship's wheels.

In completing the nautical look, Gideon worked with GALA for the tableware and chandeliers, Bella Banquets for the chairs, and C&L Decor for the props and table decor. The despedida de soltera, dubbed as #BillyAndColeenAnchoredTogether, took inspiration from the couple's anchor tattoos.
