WATCH: The Box House—A Home Like No Other

This home proves that design has no limits

One of the best things about architecture and interior design is that rules don't exist. While classic homes will always have a timeless appeal, breaking free from tradition to create something one-of-a-kind is priceless.

This is especially true for "The Box House" located in Cambridge, Massacheusetts. On the outside, it looks like three blocks stacked on top of each other. It's just as interesting inside—the odd corners are the biggest assets of the house as they serve as skylights—illuminating the home with natural light.

The first floor is where you'll find a combined dining area and kitchen. The next level houses a bedroom which can be closed off from the rest of the house with sliding panels, and a common bathroom. The top room is where you'll find an open-layout sleeping space with minimal decor, and a second bathroom incorporated with a laundry nook.
