Quezon City is gaining a renewed popularity as a hip and happening place with the emergence of new hot spots around the city. From laid-back communities such as Maginhawa to bustling cybercities like Eastwood, another locale is fast becoming the place to be: New Manila.

This neighborhood is slowly being transformed from a quiet and private part of the bustling city into an urban hub that has a good selection of restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The growing popularity of this area can be attributed to the rise of Robinsons Magnolia, which now has expanded to include a fine hotel ideal for a family staycation.

Summit Hotel Magnolia opened its doors to the public last December 2014, and is set to become one of Quezon City’s prime properties. See more photos below.

The Lobby and Front Desk

The family-oriented hotel was designed by Hisako “Chako” Hirayama, co-founder of Design HQ. Despite the predominance of clean lines and minimalist hues, each room retains a distinct personality that tells an interesting story for each space.

Its interiors were inspired by colorfully diverse cultures set amidst a light yet neutral palette that best complements the blacks, grays, and dark brown accents.

A yin-and-yang effect was achieved -- impactful yet easy on the eyes.

Twin and King Rooms

Twin and King rooms are styled in a pop geometric theme set against creams, and beiges accented by blacks.

The room looks cozy and comfy. Quirky wall accents add character to the space.

The vibe is light and relaxed, yet subtly elegant.

Wall art accentuate the space.

Nostalgic Suite

Guests will definitely feel nostalgic about in this Magnolia-themed room that “pays homage to the old Magnolia factory on whose grounds the hotel and mall were built,” says Hirayama.

Well-loved clasic Magnolia frozen delights are artfully listed on the wall, while the Magnolia logo is emblazoned on another part of the room. The distinctly recognizable old Magnolia milk bottles adorn the room

Fabulous Suite

Old Hollywood glam comes to life in the Fabulous Suite, with its movie posters and vintage travel cases as side tables.

To reflect the Hollywood glam, wall accents depict famous movies and personalities.

A see-through bathroom with tub highlights an ultimate, luxurious indulgence.

This suite has its own powder room for guests in the living room, ensuring utmost privacy for its occupants.

Divine Suite

Find solace and serenity in the Divine Room’s Zen-like vibe.

Touches of Oriental flavors are evident in the lattice work and wall masterpiece reminiscent of Japanese or Chinese calligraphy brushstrokes.

Magical Suite

Curved arches, Moroccan filigree lamps, and gold trimmings create a dramatic Middle Eastern look that is balanced off by sleek and modern details in the Magical Suite.

The cream and ivory palette accentuated by ebony and gray is the perfect backdrop for this room’s ornate interiors.
