Zambales in the western seaboard of Luzon is known for its long coasts with verdant mountains and rows of pine trees for a background. The province boasts pristine coves and island-hopping destinations, making it a crowd-favorite for weekend getaways. Its beach breaks in San Narciso and San Felipe are also top of mind for local surfers, especially with the number of hostels and laid-back resorts in the area.

After months of waiting, the popular Crystal Beach Resort is finally accepting guests from the National Capital Region, Bulacan, and areas under modified general community quarantine starting on June 17. Metro Manila and Bulacan are now under general community quarantine "with some restrictions."
