Baler in Aurora Province is a popular weekend getaway among beach-lovers and surfers. Can't blame them! Its laidback vibe is more chill than Netflix. So Balituk, a no-frills place to stay right along Sabang Beach, is a welcome addition to the town's list of affordable accommodations.

Balituk offers two options: shipping containers-turned-air-conditioned rooms and teepee huts that come with a fan. Depending on how many you are in a group, you can choose which color of container van you're going with: the red and violet ones are perfect for two, the green one is ideal for at least three, and the yellow container can fit at least four people. The three teepee huts are perfect for one or two guests.
Balituk in Ilocano means gold, and it's an apt name for this humble treasure in Baler.
