And it's far away from Taal.
After over a year in lockdown, we needed a quick escape from the city, to save our sanity and to recharge our spirits.
We chose Anya Resort in Tagaytay, a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, just an hour away from the central business district of Makati.Â
The resort, designed by Manny Samson and Associates, is a haven of calm, nestled on seven sprawling hectares of green. The firm used indigenous and modern materials in the bright and airy Filipino tropical villas.
It's the best place to practice the art of doing nothing, while luxuriating at the spa, reading a book in the silence of the library, or enjoying great food by chef Albert Reverté Pruneda, who trained at El Celler de Can Roca in Spain.
