Many of us dream of building a rest house in the future. Whether it's only a quick drive from Manila or a destination that entails a longer road trip, a second home that's far from the hustle and bustle of the city offers a welcome respite. For families with young children, it's not a vacation when there's no swimming pool. When going on a trip, families pick a hotel or resort based on this amenity, and a pool makes a vacation house for rent a more attractive prospect.

So, to help pool-obsessed families for their next holiday out of town, we combed through Airbnb to check out homes with pools that are a few hours drive north of Metro Manila. Schedule a vacation soon and make sure you check out the details that make each property special. Who knows? You might need to come up with a mood board for your dream rest house, soon.
