You may have already started taking small steps to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle by shunning the use of single-waste plastics in favor of reusable materials. But here's an opportunity to kick your recycling game up a notch—the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission is encouraging the public to donate their used PET bottles, which will be used as floating trash barriers in the Pasig River. Interested donors may drop off their plastic bottles at the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC).

The PRRC is specifically looking for 1.5-liter, 1.75-liter, and 2-liter bottles. Additionally, participating in this recycling drive will get you limited-edition PRRC merchandise items, depending on the number of bottles you bring! One PET bottle will get you a PRRC foldable fan or pen, two will get you a lanyard, and three will get you a baseball cap with the PRRC logo. Of course, nothing beats the ease on your conscience brought by doing your part to save Mother Earth. Follow the PRC's Facebook page for future announcements of bottle donation drives.
