Marvz Conti: This Urban Gardener Wants Us To Grow Plants In Our Tiny Homes
One of Real Living's Style Spotters makes it his mission to have homeowners embrace their inner green thumbs
More than five years ago, Marvz Conti, founder of Habil Crafts, first sold his wood accessories and plant creations at various bazaars and fairs like Escolta’s Saturday Future Market. The woodworker, urban gardener, and all-around-crafter also holds air plant and terrarium-making workshops at craft centers like Common Room, and has recently ventured into creating moss walls.
His work with small, easy-to-maintain plants and vertical gardens led him to focus on gardening for the homeowners in the city.

“Some of the challenges faced by urban dwellers include the limited space, and allocating time spent for gardening,” says Marvz. “For most city dwellers, there are innovative ways to bring the outside in by doing urban gardening, it would really depend on the available space, and how you would maximize it.” Marvz recommends container gardens, potted plants on the balcony, vertical gardens, and even small edible gardens for small homes.
