Manila FAME 2018 is where you can get the most stunning artisanal products from various parts of the Philippines

This October, Manila FAME, the country’s premier design and lifestyle trade event, returns with an all-new roster of the best artisanal products from more than 300 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) all over the country. The bi-annual event provides these MSMEs the incredible opportunity to showcase their products and land trade deals with not only local buyers but even international ones. This way, the rich heritage and undeniable talent of Filipino artisans will be given ample spotlight on the world stage.

Every edition of Manila FAME features a wide range of creatively and expertly-made products, which range from furniture and home décor to fashion and lifestyle items. This year is no exception. These are what you should look out for at this October’s edition of Manila FAME:

Bowls from Hacienda Crafts

Several notable furniture brands will be participating as exhibitors at the October edition of Manila FAME, including Triboa Bay Living, which offers simple yet elegant wooden tables, chairs, and lamps; Venzon Lighting Manufacturing, with their modern, unconventional lighting pieces; and Hacienda Crafts, offering environmentally sustainable lamps, furniture, and furnishings that show the excellence of Negros Island artistry.

Artisans Village

The special setting of Artisans Village will feature a wide range of artisanal products hailing from partner provinces of CITEM, specifically Antique, Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, Northern Mindanao, and Marawi City. The brands included in this special setting will include not only established labels but also newer ones, offering fresh designs that are sure to excite buyers.

For this edition of Manila FAME, the special setting of Design Commune will revolve around the concept of establishing a solid relationship between the designer and the manufacturer, where the designer understands the skill of the manufacturer and the manufacturer recognizes the significance of product design and development. The setting will be inspired by nude palettes and participated in by over eighty brands, all under the wing of artists Tes Pasola and Tony Gonzales.

Bamboo 360 Feature

Led by the Design Center of the Philippines in partnership with the Philippine Nickel Industry Association (PNIA), this feature will focus on showing a fresh new approach to bamboo as a resource, and how it can be applied to products that can appeal to the millennial demographic.

Home and Wellness Pavilion

This setting will feature a variety of products ranging from gourmet gifts, health and wellness products and services, as well as other fiber-based products manufactured by select grassroots communities under the support of the Department of Agriculture—Agribusiness Marketing Service.
