If you’ve ever been a fan of the show Sex and the City, you would remember the scene where Carrie Bradshaw admits to Miranda Hobbes that she has a new crush while stuffing her face with a pink-frosted cupcake in front of the iconic Magnolia Bakery in New York City.

Now you can fulfill all of your Carrie Bradshaw fantasies—while stuffing yourself with delectable cupcakes—right in Bonifacio Global City, because the famous Magnolia Bakery is now opening as M Bakery in Metro Manila.

“We’re excited to finally be offering the same wide variety of classic American desserts featured at the brand’s NYC shops,” says Stewart Ong (above, with pastry chef and partner Candy Lu), managing partner of Phil Jacobe Ventures, Inc., which holds the M Bakery franchise.

M Bakery BGC recreates the charming vintage atmosphere of the original Magnolia Bakery, with an expanse of windows that look out to the greens, and where passersby could see the pastries being decorated in full view (above).

The interiors are a nod to the original Bleecker Street branch, with its retro-style wainscoting, factory lamps, robins'-egg-blue subway tiles, chalkboard menus, and mosaic floors.

After seeing the super-cute Manila branch, we couldn’t help but take a peek at the other international branches:

New York City: Classic retro bakery

The original Bleecker Street branch has a very intimate, nostalgic feel to it, like you’ve stepped into a baker’s kitchen in the 1950s.

LA: Urban Art Deco

The Los Angeles branch is housed in a beautiful, Art Deco building done in the Streamline Moderne style, and the signage is adapted to the building’s era.

Tokyo: A bit minimalist

It’s no surprise that the Japanese would have a Magnolia Bakery that is a tad more serene, and more clean-lined than the other branches.

Chicago: Rustic chic-style

At the Chicago branch, we could totally see these weathered-finish, rustic shelves in our own kitchen pantry.

Dubai: Whimsical décor

Leave it to Dubai to have more extravagant Magnolia Bakery décor—in this case, a fantastic chandelier made out of teacups.
